. I know this is an old post, butposterior placenta simply meansyour placenta is attached to the back of your uterus, which is perfectly normal. Grade 1 just refers to how far along you are.

Placenta posterior upper segment grade 1 maturity means that the placenta is present at the upper part of the womb but some part is extended to the lower side as well.
