Answer:

The kidneys filter unwanted substances from the blood and produce urine to excrete them. There are three main steps of urine formation: glomerular filtration, reabsorption, and secretion. These processes ensure that only waste and excess water are removed from the body.

Process of urine formation has three main parts that is

Filtration.

Reabsorption.

Secretion.

Explaination:

Nephrons are the structural and functional unit of kidney.

They have Bowman's capsule which have podocytes cells arranged in such a manner that they allow filter of all the blood leaving only proteins.

These filter blood reached the glomerular from where they reach Henle's loops

Amount of filtrate formed by kidney is 180L per day but urine release in whole day is only 2-3L.

Reabsorption take place in Henle's loops it absorbs most of the water and thus 99% of the filtrate is reabsorbed.

Some amount of water and some ions are added in the Distal convulted tubule and this process is called secretion.

And thus urine is ready for excretion.

It only contains unnecessary ion and excess water.
