No we use only convex mirror for rear view purpuse as it provide a larger field of view .
convex mirror also shows lateral image only like that of plane mirror.. simply take a spoon and project it toward the paper such that the bulged part is facing the letters .. the bulged part behaves as a convex mirror.. u will see the letters are laterally inverted !!
