Moons are always smaller than the planet that they orbit (move around). ... Jupiter's moon Ganymede is the largest moon in the Solar System, and Ganymede as well as Saturn's moon Titan are both largerthan Mercury and Pluto.

Ø  Planets are not smaller than satellites.


Ø  Satellites may be natural bodies or man-made such as ARYABHATTA, INSAT etc.

 

Ø  Satellites go around planets and are smaller than planets.

 

Ø  Bodies which go around the sun are called planets.
