Out of the total 47,000 plant species found in the country as many as 3295 species are reported from Himachal Pradesh. Floral wealth of the state consists of higher plants, ferns, mosses, fungi and Lichens. There are 3120 species of angiosperms, 13 species of gymnosperms and 124 pteridophytes and 38 species of orchids.
