Plant tissues can be classified as either permanent tissue or meristematic tissue. Permanent tissue cells are not actively dividing and whereas meristematic tissue cells are continuously dividing and hence found in the plant meristems.
However, these cells can either be totally undivided or incompletely divided and mainly contribute towards the growth of any plant.
