Answer:

Explanation:

ntation has an interface of agriculture and industry explains the interdependence of agriculture with Industry.

This statement explains how both agriculture and industries are complimentary to each other. Plantation is  a kind of commercial farming which is practised in Bengal, Assam. Main crops grown are tea, coffee, rubber.Under this type of framing, single crop is cultivated in large tracts of land. Plantation also requires close proximity to market, to processing units and labour for its growth.

It involves use of capital intensive techniques which are manufactured by industries.

The produce is further used as raw material for many industries.

We may give example of rubber, coffee, sugarcane etc.

Plantation has an interface between agriculture and industry because it provides raw materials to the industries.

  • Plants or trees of commercial value are cultivated in the plantations.
  • It is located near to factories and market.
  • Because the product harvested from the plantations becomes raw material in the factory and the refined product is sold in the market.
  • Near the plantation, there will be facilities for processing of products and transportation facilities to transport them to the nearby market.
  • Thus in plantations agriculture is not the only procedure, it is closely related to the industry.
  • The crops that are cultivated in plantations are mostly having market value, examples are Tea, Coffee, Rubber, Cashew, etc.
