  • Plants are the Lungs of Earth. The World's Trees are effectively the earth's lungs. They absorb huge amounts of carbon dioxide that circulates and purifies the atmosphere. Protecting those lungs is crucial if we are to defend the planet and fight global warming.

  • Tropical rainforests are often called the “lungs of the planet” because they generally draw in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. But the amount of carbon dioxide they absorb, or produce, varies hugely with year-to-year variations in the climate.
