The World's Trees are effectively the earth’s lungs.

They absorb huge amounts of carbon dioxide that circulates and purifies the atmosphere. Protecting those lungs is crucial if we are to defend the planet and fight global warming.

In 2005, Nigeria had the highest rate of deforestation in the world according to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.

As at 2016, we lose about 350,000 to 400,000 hectares of land per year to deforestation. About 10 hectares of forest which are the equivalent of 14 football fields disappear every minute!
