Answer:

Plants contain a green coloured pigment called chlorophyll .They prepare their own food, in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll using carbon dioxide from the air, by a process called photosynthesis. The food formed is carbohydrate it can be directly utilized by the plants to grow, live and reproduce. The extra food is stored as starch in the various parts of the plant. Thus plants do not require digestive system.
