plants do not have a digestive system like us.why do they not need a digestive system

all they need for their living is carbondioxide in air, water and some nutrients. so basically their roots are responsible for collection of water which contains life giving nutrients. but we take food as a solid substance which has to converted into energy.

plants do not have a digestive system because their need for nourishment is full filled through the process of photosynthesis and cellular respiration they obtain their energy and nutrients from the energy of the sun to create their supply of life therefore using characteristics such as the sun and water their physical nature does not allow them to rely on a digestive system to obtain their need for energy, when their need is supplied almost directly from the sun
