plants don't have locomotive structure but they can make their own food and get carbon dioxide need water and many more

Plants do not perform locomotion... but they r not non-living... they are living beings... As the condition for being a living being is not only the locomotion process.. if a being performs other important metabolic activities of life, then they r counted in living ones... and as we know that plants perform many other metabolic activities such as respiration, transportation, excretion, etc.... hence, they r living beings
