Strach is a polymer of glucose. A large number of glucose molecules are joined in a strach molecule. strach is insoluble in water, but glucose is soluble in water. Therefore, plants store carbohydrate in form of strach and not  glucose.
In human body, the food remains stored as glycogen. The glycogen is stored in liver and muscles.

hope it helps :))
