Because plants do the process photosynthesis with help of sunlight;carbon dioxide; and water and as a result of this process oxygen is form;but whereas in night there is no sunlight so the process of photosynthesis doen't take place so as a result at night co2 is form .

yes because during day the do photosynthesis so the need CO2 to make Glucose but at night in the absence of sunlight they can't perform photosynthesis and thus do respiration and intake O2.
