Plants have low energy needs as compared to animals. Explain ​

Plants do not move. In a large plant body there are many dead cells like sclerenchyma which provides strength to the plant but do not perform any cellular function. As a result they require less energy.

Animals, on the other hand, need energy for different activities like movement or search of food. So they require more energy.

Animals, on the other hand, need to move from one place to another; in search of food. So, the energy need of animals is pretty higher than of plants.
