plants have lower energy as compared to animals. Why?

Plants do not move. In a large plant body there are many dead cells like schlerenchyma as a result it requires less energy as compared to animals.

Plants store energy in the form of starch which doesn't gives plants more energy as compared to ATP which is found in Animals.... So plants have low energy as compared to Animals.

Anonymous: plants do not have most of the biochemical activities that animals have such as moving, seeing, hearing, etc. so they produce more energy than they consume and save the excess energy for future use to survive if sunlight, food, air or water are not present in adequate amount
