Plants having deep red, violet or brown leaves also carry out photosynthesis??

Yes these can carry out photosynthesis as they have chlorophyll,absorb water and sunlight. The red, violet etc colours are given by chromoplast. Chromoplasts are colourful plastids.They give colours to various parts of the plant. The colour helps to attract insects and animals for pollination or dispersal.
