saketdas10pc29qm: plants are the primary producers in ecosystem. if you look in food chain of ecosystem you will get that green plants are at the base and in large quantity because the foof chain start with primary producer after that primary consumer and secondary consumer and then tertiary consumer. you will see that at each trophic level the number of individuals decreases. plants are the first source of energy for primary consumer so it is in larger quantities.

ecosystem- a group of animals live in same habitat
