plants like sugarcane grow from this process only, you may have seen the sugarcane divided into 3-4 parts ,called nodes . if we cut the sugarcane through these parts and sow it in the soil , the sugarcane will grow . this proves that these nodes crow the roots of the plant which help sugarcane to grow
