\huge{Photosynthesis}

✍️ photosynthesis and respiration appear to be opposing reactions but both have very different biochemical Pathways and for essential for a plant metabolism .

✍️ photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast to produce sugar starches and other carbohydrates for the plants metabolic needs .

✍️ cellular respiration occurs in mitochondria where these carbohydrates are burnt to produce chemical energy to do work at the cellular level .

✍️ during daytime the rate of photosynthesis is usually higher than that of respiration while at night it is just reverse in most plants .

No, i don't agree.

 photosynthesis can occur only in the presence of sunlight. That means at the day time only. But a living cell respires the whole day for the oxidation of glucose to get energy. It does'nt requires sunlight for respiration.

Therefore, a plant respires the whole day but can photosynthesize only during the day time.
