Rahul's doubt will be answered as follows -

  • Plants need nutrients for their growth and development. For the process of synthesis of these nutrients, they require energy.
  • Photosynthesis provides glucose which is used in the form of energy to form different nutrients like proteins, fats, starch etc.
  • Transportation of food material occurs through phloem.
  • Photosynthesis is the process of chemical conversion of carbon dioxide and water to glucose and oxygen.
