Plant's have no organ system of organisations. They have comparatively simpler system. They produce food but it is in the form of simple organic substance, which is already in absorbable form. It does not have to be get simplified. Animals intake food which is actually in compound form ( macromolecules) . so it has to get simplified into micromolecules (absorbable form) by the complex mechanism Digestion.
