Soft stem plant. The plants which has soft and green stems are called herbs. Examples- Cauliflower,wheat, rice, mint etc.

Many familiar garden plants' stems are soft and green; these are called herbaceous stems. Examples include the stems of annuals like impatiens and lettuce, and perennials such as hostas and lupines.

An herbaceous plant is an annual, biennial plant with leaves and a stem.

Herbaceous plants die back every year when the weather gets cold. Herbaceous plants do not have a woody stem that stays above the ground when the leaves are gone.

Herbaceous plants are divided into three they are --> annual, biennial and perennial.

These categories are determined by the time the plant is alive.
