Plaster of paris should be stored in a moisture-proof container. Explain why?

POP should not be stored moisture proof container because it react with moisture and form gypsum

Plaster of Paris changes into a hard solid mass on mixing with water . This solid mass is of gypsum. Hence, plaster of Paris should be stored in a moisture-proof container.
