The Disadvantages of Recycled PlasticsPlastic is generally regarded as an enemy of the environment as it isgenerally not biodegradable. However, more and more consumer  products are being packaged or developed using plastic. Recyclingcan help mitigate the perpetual use of plastic in production, but it  presents some challenges and problems.Incompatible PlasticsCommon recycling processes use incinerators and other equipment to break plasticgoods down into reusable resin substances. While this process has been effective inminimizing use of new plastics, it is not foolproof. A major problem in this process isthat different plastic goods often arent compatible. !his challenge means that youcannot always mi" recycled plastic items in the same process. #anual efforts toseparate like plastics are necessary.Use of Secondary Materials$roducts labeled as recycled plastic typically arent made from %&& percent recycledmaterials, or anywhere close to it. According to the City of 'edding, Calif.s plasticrecycling web page, many recycled plastic goods may actually contain only a tiny percent of recycled plastic. $aper, ink and scraps from other consumer and industrial products often find their way into recycled plastics. !his factor can impact the qualityand recycled benefits of the new product.Limited Use'ecycled plastic typically isnt as strong after it has gone through recycling processesas it was originally. !hus, many goods made of recycled plastics cannot be recycled asecond time. Additionally, the potential for to"icity limits certain plastic containersfrom being recycled. (ou cant use recycled plastic to create food containers or  packaging because of the possibility of bacteria. $lastic containers used to storeharmful materials such as pesticides arent recyclable because of the risks they pose.Diminished Value'ecycled plastic isnt as valuable as original or virgin plastic. !his factor impacts thedemand for recycled plastics in the industrial economy. )f a manufacturer wants tomake a plastic*based product or component, its desire to use recycled materials ismitigated by the potential decrease in perceived value by its customer. $rocesses to

Plastics are useful material to mankind but it has potential dangers when compared to environmental security and purity.

Here I have mentions some advantages of plastics.

They can be used to produce materials in low cost.

They are durable.

They are water resistance because of long polymers.

They are lustrous.

They are light weighted and can be easily shaped.

The biodegradable plastics:

Plastics that are made from corn starch which are particularly engineered to degrade into nature as soon as possible where the non-biodegradable plastics are made from petrochemical which are naturally can’t be digested by the nature.

How usage of plastics can be reduced:

Here I subject the below point for both biodegradable and non-biodegradable plastics because, after all biodegradable plastics are also plastics which possess potential threats to nature.

Reduce the usage of plastics by using metal carriers and tools for packing and transporting.

Use bags that are not made form plastics.

Avoid burning old plastics and return them to certified recycling factories.
