Yes plateau regions in India doesn't support agriculture as much as the plain regions because,
1.The plain region's are surrounded by rivers
2.These rivers carry sediments
like alluvial soil etc
3.Plain regions also have suitable weather conditions
4.As the plateau regions don't have these factors,it is not so suitable for Agriculture
5.Hence plain regions are more suitable for agriculture in India

The plateau regions in India do not support agriculture as much as the plain regions because,

  • Plateau region is an area to the surrounding area of fairly high-level ground.
  • A plain region is more suitable for farming.
  • A plain is a leveled surface low lying land. The plateau's physical characteristics do not support agriculture.
  • The rough plateau surface makes irrigation difficult.
  • The plains have more appropriate facilities for irrigation.
  • There are no perennial rivers in the plateau region. There are no rivers in the plains. The plains have fertile river-drained lands.
  • A large part of the agricultural activity is carried out in the fertile plains compared to the plateau regions.
