Plateau regions in india do not support agriculture as much as the plain regions what are the reasons for this explain

In plateau regions agriculture supports but 50-50 because plateau region is a region of valleys where the excessive amount of water cannot be reached therefore the soils of plateau contains low minerals and fertility but in plain region there are high percentage of minerals and fertility a soil have because plains are formed from rivers

7) Plateau region is rich in mineral resources whereas plains are rich in agriculture practice.
