" ORNITHORHYNCUS " / PLATYPUS is an egg laying mammal ( belongs to PROTOTHERIANS ) .
In platypus, young ones are grown inside eggs and later they will be nourished by feeding milk. Even though it as an egg laying animal , it feeds over milk and which is a general characteristic property of mammals only.
