The platelets helped in clotting.

Explanation:

  • As soon as an injury is caused and blood starts to flow from the injury site, the platelets for a plug on the site to stop bleeding. This process of plug formation is termed as primary hemostasis.

  • After this, different clotting factors cause the blood to coagulate and the injury to heal with the passage of time.

  • There are numerous different clotting factors such as fibrinogen which is also called as Factor I.
