soln: To find the nature of roots we must calculate Discriminant of the equation
D = b² - 4ac
D = (a + c)² - 4ac
D = a² + c² + 2ac - 4ac
D = a² + c² - 2ac
D = (a - c)² ≥ 0 ----- (A)
Note: Note square of any number(either it is positive or negative) is always positive.
From (A) we conclude that roots are real and distinct.
