Given : Number 38 & 39    , Number 99 and 100

To Find : How many non perfect square numbers  are there netween the squares of given numbers.

Solution:

all numbers between

38² and 39²  are non perfect square  

number are

39² - 38²  - 1

= 76

Simple rule  non perfect square numbers  between

n²  & (n+1)²  are 2n

non perfect square numbers  between 99² and 100²  

= 2 * 99 = 198

69 x 71

= (70 - 1)(70 + 1)

(a - b)(a + b) = a² - b²

= 70² - 1²

= 4900 - 1

= 4899
