We can insert infinite fractions between any two given fractions:
As here we need to insert fraction between 1/2 and 1/3,
So, first step is to make denominator same by taking LCM of denominators (2 and 3)=6,
Now the fractions will become:
3/6 and 2/6
Now if we multiple numerator and denominator of both fractions by 2 we will get 6/12 and 4/12, here we can insert one fraction i.e. 5/12.
But if we multiply numerator and denominator of both fractions by 3 we will get 9/18 and 6/18. Here we can insert 2 fractions i.e. 7/18 and 8/18.
Now we can continue this process with subsequent natural numbers and insert different number of fractions as per our need infinitely.
