  • specular reflection
  • diffuse reflection

1)In a periscope it is used as a device that enables us to see objects kept at different levels. Periscopes are used in submarines.

2)In a kaleidoscope which is a kind of toy it produces colourful patterns of images from pieces of glass beads and so on.
