Answer:

A fully charged capacitor no current draws from cell. So, no current flow in the capacitor branch and corresponding circuit is shown in figure.

Total resistance of the circuit is Rt=2.8+2∣∣3=2.8+2+32×3=2.8+1.2=4Ω

Current in the circuit is I=46=1.5A

If I1 and I2 are the current through 2Ω and 3Ω respectively, then I=I1+I2...(1)

As 2Ω  and 3Ω are in parallel so V2Ω=V3Ω   or 2I1=3I2⇒I2=(2/3)I1

now, (1) becomes, 1.5=I1+(2/3)I1=35I1

or I1=51.5×3=0.9A

Answer:

4.5V

Explanation:

Potential Difference (PD) = 9v

Let R1 = 2ohm, R2 = 3ohm and R3 = 6ohm

Now equivalent resistance in the circuit = 2 + (1/3 + 1/6) ohm

= 2 + 1/2 ohm

= 2 + 2/1 ohm ( Reason : as the 3ohm and 6ohm resistors were in parallel combination )

= 4 ohm

Now, by Ohm's law, we have

V = IR

=> 9 = I×4

=> 2.25A = I

Now, the voltage across the 2ohm resistor = (2.25 × 2)V = 4.5V Ans.

(The math was fully soved by me and is completely verified. Hope it was helpful.)
