Quality matters more than Quantity
Quality and quantity are the two complementary aspects of everything. It may be regarding an activity that we perform or a product that we purchase or a product that we make. Quantity is the physical amount of the product or activity that is produced. Whereas quality is about how the activity is done. So quality is the adjective and adverb in a sentence.
Long ago quantity was probably given priority. But in modern India and all over the world, quality is given more importance. When a new product of a good use, comes into the market, people will go for it. They may not give a lot of importance to quality. Due to high demand and less delivery time, quality may not be of priority. However, as the market widens, as competitors bring in healthy competition, focus is diverted to quality in customer satisfaction.
Thus quality takes priority in today's world. In lower middle class life and in poor people's lives quality does not take the precedence. But the middleclass and upper middle-class and upper class of the society always insist on quality. As there is a saying "it's better to have one outstanding son rather than a hundred useless sons."
We need to learn and perform as best as we can. The number of hours put in for preparation will be insignificant, if the results of the exam are poor. For performing with higher quality, we need to practice and prepare in advance. Practice makes a man perfect. Perfection brings in quality. Gradually we will be able to optimize both on quantity and quality. That will be the championship of life.
