Solution:

Surface area of a hemispherical basin = 2πr^2 = 2 × 22/7 ×14 ×14 = 1232

Therefore the area of the steel sheet required for one basin is 1232cm^2.

Total area of sheet required for 1000 hemispherical

basins = 1232 X 1000

= 1232000 cm^2

= 123.2 m^2

Therefore the area of steel sheet required to manufacture the 1000 hemispherical basins is 123.2 square meters.
