The right to equality includes equality before the law, the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, gender or place of birth, equality of opportunity in matters of employment, the abolition of untouchability and abolition of titles.

Five provisions under right to equality:

  • In the constitution of India there is single citizenship like US and Canada

  • Unlike USA India has no division between the public service among the state government and the Federal government

  • The Indian Constitution has established integrated judicial system in the federal aspect

  • The single Election Commission organises election both in state and national level in the India

  • During the time of emergencies the Federal apparatus will transform into unitary system .
