Let the breadth of rectangular field be x m.

Therefore, length = 2x m

In one round of jog Arjun will cover a distance equal to the Perimeter of the field, so in 3 rounds he will cover the distance 3 times of Perimeter.

Hence,

\begin{gathered}3 \times 2(2x + x) = 5.4 \: km \\ 6(3x) = 5400 \: m \\ 18x = 5400 \\ x = \frac{5400}{18} \\ x = 300 \\ \therefore \: 2x = 2 \times 300 = 600 \\ hence \\ length \: of \: field \: = 600 \: m \\ breadth \: of \: field \: = 300 \: m\end{gathered}

3×2(2x+x)=5.4km

6(3x)=5400m

18x=5400

x=

x=300

∴2x=2×300=600

hence

lengthoffield=600m

breadthoffield=300m
