let the unit digit be x
let the tens digit be y
then according to question
x+y= 12 .............eqn( 1)
10x+y - (x +10y) = 54
9x -9y = 54
x-y = 6 eqn ( 2)
then from eqn( 1)& (2)
we get
x =9
y =3
