16)

= [1/2]²[1/✓2]²+4[1/✓3]²+1/2[1]²-2[0]²

=[1/4][1/2] + 4[1/3]+1/2-0

=1/8+4/3+1/2

=47/24

13)

tan©= 3/4

O/A=3/4

by Pythagoras theorem

H= 5

==== 1-H/A

-------------

1+H/A

=1-5/4

----------

1+5/4

=-1/4

---------

9/4

= -4/36

= -1/9

Answer:

13. -1/9

16. 47/27

Step-by-step explanation:

Hope you understand the image on 13th one...

  • use pythagoras theorem and find 3rd side.
  • apply value from triangle in given equation i.e. sec thea is nothing but 1/cos theta = 4/5
  • you get answer as (-1/5) *(5/9) =(-1/9)

For 16th one..

  • you need to know, trigonometric values..
  1. sin 30=1/2
  2. cos 45=1/\sqrt{2}
  3. tan 30=1/\sqrt{3}
  4. sin 90=1
  5. cos 90=0
  • Then just substitute and solve... you will get 1/8+4/3+1/2-0
  • By taking LCM we get,

=> 3+32+12/24

=> 47/24.
