perimeter = 180

18+80 + third side (x) =180
x = 180-98
x = 82
take sides as a= 18
b= 80
c= 82

s = perimeter/2
=180/2
=90
s-a = 90-18 = 72
s-b= 90-80= 10
s-c= 90-82= 8

area of triangle by herons formula
s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c)

√90×72×10×8
√90x90x8x8
720 sq cm

area = 720

area of triangle 1/2xbxh
h= 720x2/18
h= 80 cm

Hey there!! Thanks for the question!!

Given,
Perimeter = 180cm.
Lengths of sides = 80 , 18 cm .
Let the third side = x

So,
=> 80 + 18 + Third side = 180
=> 98 + x = 180
=> x = 82 cm

Let's find altitudes by finding area.
Let's find semi perimeter. 180/2 = 90
A = √s(s-a)(s-b) (s-c)
A = √ 90(10)(8)(72) = 720 cm²

Let Altitude corresponding to the shortest side ( 18 cm) be " y "

Now, By the formula of Area.

Area = 1/2(Base)(Height)
720 = 1/2(18)(y)
y = 80cm.

Area = 720 cm²
Length of Altitude corresponding to the shortest Side = 80 cm.

Hope helped!
