take number 100 first.
subtract 1 from hundred
then subtract 3 from the result and keep on subtracting consecutive odd number from the results there will be a point where the result will become 0
then count number of odd numbers you subtracted from 100
that number is the square root of the given number

1) 100-1=99
99-3=96
96-5=91
91-7-84
84-9=75
75-11=64
64-13=51
51-15=36
36-17=19
19-19=0

now you have subtracted 10 consecutive odd numbers from 100 to get 0
n=0

therefore the square root of 100 is 10

hope this helps you
