Fruits usually are a product of sexual reproduction in flowering plants. In simple words, a seed is formed, when fertilisation occurs. For protecting the seed, a fruit develops, which is ripened ovary of the plant, and the plant has put a lot of sugar, pectin, organic acids, minerals and vitamins.

In many cases the formation is common. The pollen falls on mature stigma through various ways, thereby pollen germinates and pollen tube comes out which has a sperm or spermatzoide and passes in through the style and reaches ovary, where it fuses with the female gamete forming a zygote. This zygote undergoes further divisions to form fruit and each fruit may contain one or many seeds.
