Potential energy of water when it is at a height of 120 = mgh = 120 × 10 × 1000 = 1200000 J

Now in this case the potential energy of water is conserved as there is no loss in energy due to any factor so this potential energy will change to electrical energy.

So power = energy/time = 120000 W (T= 1 sec)

Potential energy of water when it is at a height of 120= mgh = 120×10×100=

1200000 J

In case the potential energy of water is conserved as there is no loss in energy due to any factor.

So this potential energy will change into electrical energy..

so power = energy/ time =

120000 W

{time=1 second}
