A ball of mass 20 kg is moving with a velocity
40 m/s. On applying
on applying a constant force on
ball for 2sec, it accquires a velocity of 60 m/s
Calculate : (i) the rate of change of momentum.
(ii) the magnitude of force applied.

(i) the rate of change of momentum=mv-mu = m(v-u)= 20(60-40)= 20x20=400 kgm/s

ii) the magnitude of force applied= (mv-mu)/t= 400/2=200 N
