Answer:

To make an equivalent ratio, we have to multiply both the numbers (of the original ratio) by the same number

Example -

1:2

1 × 10 = 10

2 × 10 = 20

10:20 = 1:2

But,

1 × 20 = 20

2 × 10 = 20

20:20 1:2

a) 2:3

2 × 2 = 4

3 × 2 = 6

4:6

2 × 3 = 6

3 × 3 = 9

6:9

b) 6:8

6 × 2 = 12

8 × 2 = 16

12:16

6 × 3 = 18

8 × 3 = 24

18:24

c) 24:96

24 × 2 = 28

96 × 2 = 192

28:192

24 × 3 = 72

96 × 3 = 288

72:288

d) 42:63

42 × 2 = 84

63 × 2 = 126

84:126

42 × 3 = 126

63 × 3 = 189

126:189
