Answer:

!!I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS YOU A LOT

NOTE: THESE ANSWERS AREN'T MINE (NOT USER-CREATED) FOR QUESTIONS 1 AND 4, I GOT THEM FROM BRAINLY.IN AND THE REMAINING TWO FROM TOPPR-ANSWR.

THESE ANSWERS ARE EXPERT-VERIFIED

Explanation:

1. Check the attachment for the answer to this question!!

(This answer isn't user-created it is from our friend NIKITASNEHA "pls follow her!! ")

2.

The mass of HCL is (0.75 * 36.5) ÷ 1000  ×25 = 0.684g.

  • 1 mole of calcium carbonate reacts with 2 moles of HCl.

(This is because using the equation the molar ratio is 1:2

How to find molar ratio?

CaCO2(s) + 2HCL(aq) = CaCL2(aq) + CO2(g)+ H20(l)

So to know the ratio you use the number in front of the molecule which is the number of molecules.

So for CaCO2 since there is NO number in the front it is also one and for HCL there is a 2 over there indicating that there are 2 molecules of HCL.

Therefore molar ratio = 1:2)

  • Hence, the mass of calcium carbonate that will react completely with 0.684 g of HCl is 100÷( 2×36.5) × 0.684 = 0.937g

The 35.5 is the atomic mass (neutrons+protons) of chlorine.

And 1 is the atomic mass of Hydrogen.

So to find the Mr (the sum of atomic masses of ions present in molecule), you have to add the atomic masses of both hydrogen and chlorine then multiply it by 2 because there are 2 molecules of HCL there.

3. Mass of methanol required is :

M=Volume of solution×Molariy of solution×Molar mass of methanol

=2.5×0.25×32=20 g.

*32 is the molar mass of methanol

Volume of methanol needed = mass ÷ density = 20÷ 0.793

volume of methanol needed = 25.22ml.

4. Given: 1.41 g/mL  HNO3  solution

the solution is 69% HNO3

  • Calculate the mass of HNO3 in the solution

= 1.41 g/ml x 69%

= 0.9729 g/ml

  • Convert the answer in 1 to mole quantity by dividing it with the molar mass of HNO3 which is 63 g/mol

= 0.9729 g/ml divided by 63 g/mol

= 0.01544 mol/ml

  • Since molar quantity is expressed as mole per L, you need to multiply the answer in 2 with 1000 (1L = 1000ml)

= 0.01544 mol/ml X 1000

= 15.44 M
