Explanation:

ANSWER:-

  • An element is a simple substance made of only one type of atom, and is non breakable into it's sub parts. Compounds are the substances made up of different types of atoms . While mixtures are the combination of both elements and compounds.
  • Pure substances are made up of two sub parts, elements and compounds. These have a fixed molecular structure, unlike the mixtures.
  • Metals are the elements which are sonorous, are conducting, malleable and Rigid *( general cases with few exceptions like mercury).
  • Homogenous mixtures are the mixtures which do not have any line of separation and get mixed with solvent thoroughly. For example Sugar Solution. Heterogenous Mixtures are those which have line of separation and do not get mixed properly. Example:- Sand in water.
  1. Sodium- element
  2. Soil-compound
  3. Sugar Solution- Mixture
  4. Silver- Element
  5. Calcium Carbonate - Compound
  6. Tin - Mixture
  • 6th Question
  1. Soda water - Homogeneous
  2. wood - Homogeneous
  3. Air - Both homogeneous as clean air and heterogenous as polluted one
  4. Soil- Heterogeneous
  5. Vinegar- Homogeneous
  • 7th Question
  1. Aluminium - Metal
  2. Fluorine - Non metal
  3. Gallium - Metal
  4. Phosphorus- Non metal
  5. Krypton - Non metal
  6. Tellurium - Metalloid
  7. Thorium - Metal
  8. Barium - Non metal
  9. Strontium - Metal.
