●A spring scale or spring balance or newton meter is a type of mechanical force gauge or weighing scale. It consists of a spring fixed at one end with a hook to attach an object at the other.

●The fluid friction or drag can be reduced are minimised by giving special shape called streamlined shape to the objects which Move through fluids like air or water . ... For example: 1)Cars are built with streamlined body shape to reduce air resistance or drag caused by a air.

●Whenever a body moves or tends to move over the surface of another body , then a force comes into play which acts parallel to the surface of contact and oppose the relative motion . ... Hence, Frictional force is greater in rough surface compare to smooth surface .

●We deliberately increase friction by using brake pads in the brake system of bicycles and automobiles. When we are riding a bicycle, the brake pads do not touch the wheels. But when we press the brake lever, these pads arrest the motion of the rim due to friction. The wheel stops moving.

●The friction force depends on The materials that are in contact. The two materials and the nature of their surfaces. Rougher surfaces have higher coefficient of frictions but to slide apart.

●Rolling of ball or wheel on the ground is an example of Rolling friction. The other type of friction is sliding friction. In this type of friction, there is a restriction on the body's movement as only one side of the body is in contact with the surface. Pushing a box across the table is an example of Sliding friction.
