Answer:

The formula to find area of a trapezium is [(a+b)/2]×h. Therefore [(a+b)/2] is equal to 25 because 200/8 is equal to 25.

formula \:  =  \:  \frac{h(a + b)}{2}

Area of trapezium = 200 cm².

Height = 8 cm

Let the parallel side be x.

According to the question,

Longer side = 6 + x

 \frac{h( a+b )}{2}  =  \: area

 \frac{8(x + 6 + x)}{2}  = 200

 \frac{4(2x + 6)}{1}  = 200

 {8x + 24} = 200

8x = 200 - 24

8x = 176

x =  \frac{176}{8}

x = 22

Therefore,

Length of smaller side = x = 22 cm

Length of longer side = 6 + x = 6 + 22 = 28 cm
